JOIN US FOR OUR FABULOUS CHRISTMAS CONCERT
We are a friendly, family oriented brass band based in the heart of the former Somerset Coalfield region of North East Somerset. The band actively supports the learning and development of the skills required to play brass instruments at all levels from complete learner to experienced musician. The band is a registered charity, number 1081988.
Deeply rooted in the local community, there is nothing the band enjoys more than to be out and about entertaining residents and visitors at various fayres, festivals, concerts and celebrations throughout the year. Our wide and varied repertoire includes music from films and musicals and TV, rock, pop, jazz and blues, ballads, classical and marches.
If you would like to hire the band for your event please get in touch by emailing msnrsb.engagements@gmail.com
Contesting also features in the band’s calendar, usually in Torquay in March. We are currently in the fourth section and are always striving to develop our musicianship.
We are constantly looking for new members and are always keen to hear from people who would like to join us. At the moment we are specifically looking for Tutti cornets, BBb Bass, Kit Drummer and Percussionist to add that final ‘je ne sais quoi’ to our line up.
We also have a thriving Training Band where we train and develop new players.
The Main Band rehearses on Tuesdays, 7.30 – 9.30pm and Fridays 7.15 – 9.00pm.
The Training Band runs on Tuesdays, 6.15 pm – 7.00 pm.
Our band room is located at Radstock Methodist Church, The Street, Radstock, BA3 3PL.
